Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a General Laborer I to join the production team in an outdoor auto salvage yard. You will handle vehicles safely to produce core and scrap products, assist customers, and ensure environmental compliance.

The role includes following safety protocols, lifting up to 50 pounds, and rotating through tasks such as dismantling engines, operating tire machines, and preparing shipments. The position offers medical, dental and vision benefits for you and dependents, a 401k with

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions, including hazard communications such as waste oil, gasoline, and flammable materials.
• Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote a safety culture; wear PPE as required.
• Safely remove Freon, fluids, batteries, and other materials per procedures.
• Position vehicles to provide customers access to parts and prepare for the next vehicle set.
• Dismantle engines and transmissions and harvest core materials.
• Operate the tire machine to separate tires and prepare rims for shipment.
• Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner and maintain logs and controls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
