Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a General Laborer I to join the production team in an outdoor auto salvage yard. You will safely handle vehicles to produce core and scrap products, assist customers, and help maintain environmental compliance.

The role requires the ability to follow safety instructions, work weekends/holidays, and operate in varying weather conditions while upholding company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including safety messages and hazard communications.
• Ability to work required hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying weather conditions during a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote the safety culture, wearing PPE as required.
• Follow company policies and model professionalism for the team.
• Safely remove fluids, batteries, and other materials per procedures.
• Dismantle engines and transmissions, and harvest core materials per procedures.
• Position vehicles for customer access to sellable parts and prepare for next vehicle set.
• Assist customers courteously and prepare shipment boxes, logs, and stormwater controls.
• Maintain the work area and address safety hazards in the customer area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
