Qualifications

• Willingness to adhere to OSHA / MSHA regulatory requirements
• 1-3 years’ experience in mining / heavy industry
• Working knowledge of safety systems and processes
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Exemplary attendance and safety record
• Willingness to be flexible on daily job duty requirements
• Maintains a positive outspoken learning attitude
• The Equipment Operator must pass and maintain Turner Mining Group mobile equipment skills qualifications on each piece listed

Responsibilities

• Perform quality pre-operation machine inspections and document requirements
• Other regulatory & internal / external forms as required
• Assist with hazard identification and risk control
• Engage with crews to define processes and improve safety and efficiency
• Support near-miss reporting and training proficiency audits
• Travel on short notice to support timelines and production requirements at existing sites
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and equipment care
• Communicate effectively with site leadership and teams
