Job summary

Clark Construction seeks a Safety Assistant in Washington, DC to support the Safety Group with policy administration, data tasks, and field-based learning. The role focuses on ensuring data-driven safety programs and precise policy execution.

You will help with Fitness for Duty administration, testing coordination, monthly reporting, and Power BI dashboards. This on-site position requires readiness to work on active job sites and collaborate with trade partners to promote a proactive safety

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; undergraduate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in data tools (Power BI preferred) and strong written and verbal communication.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Interest in construction industry and ability to build relationships with team members and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily administration of Clark's Fitness for Duty Policy.
• Coordinate pre-employment drug screenings and random quarterly testing.
• Ensure documentation related to fitness and drug-free initiatives is maintained.
• Gather safety data, charts, and metrics for Monthly Safety Report.
• Publish project-specific safety data on schedule with accuracy.
• Maintain documentation aligned with federal, state, and local standards.
• Develop and maintain Power BI charts/dashboards for Safety Data Analysis.
• Identify hazards and safety trends through data visualization.
• Suggest improvements to data collection and reporting processes.
• Participate in site visits to observe hazard ID and job-site safety practices.
