Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our Salt Lake City team and help foster a zero-harm culture on large commercial projects. You will work with the safety team and project leadership to monitor site conditions, support inspections, document safety issues with photos and reports, and assist in developing improvement plans.

Strong reporting, training facilitation, and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working on large commercial projects in a safety capacity.
• Willingness to travel is highly preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training required; OSHA outreach instructor (OSHA 500) preferred.
• Safety certifications (CSP/ASP/CHST) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Works on a specific jobsite and collaborates with safety team and leadership to develop a zero-harm culture.
• Monitors site activity for inspections and administrative tasks.
• Documents site conditions focusing on safety items with photos and reports.
• Assists in planning safety improvements with project leadership and documents this info.
• Helps conduct safety training meetings and provides detailed reports to teams.
• Reviews infractions and improvements with site management and records progress.
