Job summary

ACS Manufacturing, INC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop and implement programs reducing workers’ compensation, general liability, auto liability, and property losses. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and fosters a company-wide safety culture.

You will lead safety committees, conduct risk assessments, and provide training to create safer work practices and behavior modification across the site.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour (General Industry preferred).
• Professional Safety licensure preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and chairs the Company Safety Committee; provides regulations and technical consultation regarding health and safety issues to employees, vendors, and facility visitors.
• Develops programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety-related regulations and other EH&S standards.
• Conducts claims investigations and evaluates risk management data to identify hazards and loss trends; recommends preventive measures.
• Performs regular inspections of grounds, buildings, equipment, and operations; identifies hazards and non-compliance and recommends corrective actions.
• Provides ongoing safety and loss prevention training to various Company departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Safety Coordinator effectively helps to develop and implement programs, practices, and procedures to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental loss in the areas of workers’ compensation, Occupational Safety, general liability, auto liability, and property. Ensures ACS Manufacturing is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, which are designed to protect the human, financial, and physical assets of the Company. Creates a Company-wide safety culture through safety training, risk assessments, and behavior modification programs.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• After establishing the Company Safety Committee, maintains, chairs, and ensures the effectiveness and broad representation of the committee; provides regulations and technical consultation regarding health and safety issues to employees, vendors, and facility visitors.
• Develops programs to ensure the Company’s compliance with federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, in addition to other environmental health, safety, and loss prevention standards and guidelines
• Conducts claims investigations and evaluates risk management claims information to identify significant hazards and loss trends; identifies and recommends preventive measures and corrective actions.
• Performs regular physical inspections of Company grounds, buildings, equipment, and operations; identifies hazards and incidents of regulatory non-compliance and recommends corrective measures.
• Provides ongoing safety and loss prevention training to various Company departments to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Technical / Other

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and ability to learn/utilize company’s ERP tools.

Minimum Requirements/Experience
