Job summary

ACS Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop and implement programs to reduce workers’ compensation and liability risks. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and foster a safety-focused culture through trainings and risk assessments.

The role requires collaboration across departments, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to design and maintain a comprehensive safety program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 1–3 years of related experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour (General Industry) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and chair the Company Safety Committee, provide regulations and consultation on health and safety issues.
• Develop programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and loss prevention standards.
• Conduct claims investigations and evaluate risk management information to identify hazards and loss trends.
• Perform regular inspections of facilities and operations to identify hazards and non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide ongoing safety and loss prevention training across company departments to reduce losses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Safety Coordinator effectively helps to develop and implement programs, practices, and procedures to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental loss in the areas of workers’ compensation, Occupational Safety, general liability, auto liability, and property. Ensures ACS Manufacturing is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, which are designed to protect the human, financial, and physical assets of the Company. Creates a Company-wide safety culture through safety training, risk assessments, and behavior modification programs.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• After establishing the Company Safety Committee, maintains, chairs, and ensures the effectiveness and broad representation of the committee; provides regulations and technical consultation regarding health and safety issues to employees, vendors, and facility visitors.


• Develops programs to ensure the Company’s compliance with federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, in addition to other environmental health, safety, and loss prevention standards and guidelines


• Conducts claims investigations and evaluates risk management claims information to identify significant hazards and loss trends; identifies and recommends preventive measures and corrective actions.


• Performs regular physical inspections of Company grounds, buildings, equipment, and operations; identifies hazards and incidents of regulatory non-compliance and recommends corrective measures.


• Provides ongoing safety and loss prevention training to various Company departments to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental losses.


• Performs other duties as assigned

Technical / Other

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and ability to learn/utilize company’s ERP tools.


• Knowledge of federal, state, and local loss prevention regulations
