Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator for a 5-month contract in Charlotte, NC. The role is a 1099 contractor position starting 10/12, with a pay rate of $49/hr and a weekly pay frequency, plus a $150/month completion bonus.

The workweek spans 50 hours, Monday through Saturday, supporting concrete construction activities on-site. The successful candidate will provide field safety oversight, perform site inspections, review JHAs and permits, and ensure OSHA

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety support for concrete construction activities.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor excavation, concrete placement, formwork, rebar, and material handling operations.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with the General Contractor, ownership team, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Support safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
