The 1099 contractor will provide daily field safety oversight for electrical crews, subcontractors, and supervision, ensuring OSHA compliance and project safety requirements. The role requires OSHA 30, field presence on active sites, and experience with JHAs/AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
• 2+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
• Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
• Ability to maintain a visible field presence on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor conduit installation, electrical wiring, material handling operations, and elevated work.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe practices.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain safety documentation and compliance reports.

Construction Safety Coordinator

Location: St. George, SC
Duration: 5 Months (Start: Immediate Need)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $46/hr
Per Diem: None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 5x10s + 8 Hours on Saturday
Additional Schedule Details: Overtime built into the schedule with approximately 58 hours per week.
