Qualifications

Job description

Join to apply for the Safety Coordinator role at Kimley-Horn.

This position is based in our Raleigh, North Carolina office and involves supporting the HR Operations team with various safety initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in task management, organization, and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in partnership with Safety and Security Specialists.
  • Assist with safety and security incident management, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Manage safety programs such as AED/Fire Extinguisher/Fleet Maintenance, Duress Button, and Evacuation plans, including training and audits.
  • Co-lead system management of our Safety platform.
  • Answer day-to-day questions on various safety programs and topics.
  • Research safety issues and recommend approaches.
  • Generate reports, update OSHA logs, and manage OSHA 10-hour training courses for field employees.
  • Create and maintain guidance documents and safety documentation on third-party sites like ISNetworld and Avetta.
  • Complete environmental, health, and safety sections on client RFPs.
  • Coordinate with vendors on escalated safety issues.
  • Assign and track training courses.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting safety training sessions, including creating presentations.
  • Support teammates on various requests and projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Experience in health or safety fields, with Cal/OSHA knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
