Job summary

Niterra North America, Inc. is hiring a Safety Specialist for our West Virginia manufacturing facility. This second-shift role (2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday–Friday) focuses on safety program administration, incident investigations, and training development to maintain OSHA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.

The ideal candidate has OSHA experience, strong organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced facility environment. Onsite work, with up to 10% travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MS Office experience required.
• 1+ year of experience with OSHA regulations.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
• Capable of multitasking and managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent organization and administration skills.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA 30-hour training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain safety programs and training with management.
• Maintain safety manuals and procedures (e.g., WVSM).
• Coordinate incident investigations.
• Interpret OSHA regulations and serve as a resource.
• Track OSHA and DOT certifications (forklift, bloodborne pathogens, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
• Conduct site safety inspections and Job Safety Analyses.
• Lead new hire safety training and emergency drills.
• Complete industrial hygiene studies and propose improvements.
• Back up EMS and safety documentation systems.
