Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Night Shift Safety Specialist to execute safety and health programs across facilities, including Plant, Waste Water, Transportation, Rendering, and Administration. The role focuses on promoting a safety culture and continuous improvement to prevent injuries.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Safety/Environmental Science, OSHA 10 or 30 certification, 0–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and solid computer skills to support

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Safety/Environmental Science or equivalent.
OSHA 10 or 30 Certification required.
0 - 3 years' health and safety experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated computer skills.

Responsibilities

Conducts safety inspections, documents findings and implements corrective actions.
Executes on safety and health programs; conducts site compliance visits across facilities.
Supports the Safety & Health Manager with records, corrective actions, inspections and site visits.
Assists in job task analyses, determines exposure and institutes safe work procedures.
Promotes safety culture through awareness and recognition activities.
