Job summary

Digging & Rigging Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist under the guidance of the Safety Manager to guide employees on safety and health regulations. You will perform jobsite inspections and help drive compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

You will work closely with field personnel and management to enforce company policies, document inspections, and support continuous improvement in safety performance across yards and on job sites in Maryland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license required; CDL or FMCSA qualifications preferred.
• Experience in crane rental or heavy industry preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job site inspections and communicate deficiencies to the Safety Manager.
• Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support investigation and reporting of incidents to management and insurers.
• Organize and maintain safety-related documents for recordkeeping.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements.
