Torrington Public Schools seeks a Security/Safety and Security Associate for Torrington Middle School (grades 7-8). This position runs on a 10-month schedule with 184 workdays and 37.5 hours per week, starting at $25.33 per hour.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma, 60 college credits or Para-Pro Exam preferred, PMT training, and knowledge of district policies and procedures to maintain a safe school environment.

Certification: It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain a guard card within 3 months of the date of employment.
Terms of Employment:10-month schedule, 184 workdays, 37.5hours per week. Starting pay in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement is $25.33 per hour. Benefits include acomprehensive medical package andtuition reimbursement.
Internal Applicants: Regular employees of the Torrington Public Schools who are current members of the Paraeducators' union. Paraeducators shall not be eligible to apply for lateral positions that become vacant after August 15th. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, paraeducators shall be eligible to apply for promotional opportunities at any time.
