Torrington Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician at Torringford Elementary School (PK-3). The role implements positive programming to increase students' behavioral and academic skills, following district policies and evidence-based practices.
The position is a 10-month assignment with 186 work days. Starting pay is $21 per hour, with comprehensive medical benefits and tuition reimbursement; credential holders start at $25 per hour.

Registered Behavior Technician Credential must be obtained within 100 days of employment.

Regular employees of the Torrington Public Schools who are current members of the Paraeducators' union. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, "Paraeducators shall not be eligible to apply for lateral positions that become vacant after August 15th. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, paraeducators shall be eligible to apply for promotional opportunities at any time."
