Job summary

Torrington Public Schools seeks a High School Science teacher (Chemistry) at Torrington High School to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for grades 9-12. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Connecticut teaching certificate with a CT Science endorsement; chemistry and/or biology endorsements are preferred.

The teacher will design and implement laboratory experiences, assess student learning, and foster inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application of science concepts

Preference will be given to candidates who hold endorsements in Chemistry and/or Biology, but all Science certified educators are encouraged to apply.

The Science Teacher at Torrington High School is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction in one or more scientific disciplines such as biology and/orchemistry. They design and implement laboratory experiences, assess student learning, and promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application of scientific concepts.
