Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer to coordinate execution across multiple teams within the CMD PPMO. You will facilitate planning, manage dependencies and risks, and help establish a reliable delivery cadence across programs.

You will lead PI planning, drive continuous improvement, and measure value with tools like Azure DevOps, Power BI and Planview, while mentoring teams in Lean-Agile practices and SAFe principles to achieve measurable business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an agile practitioner in Product Management, Release Train Engineering, Portfolio or Program Management
• Expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Strong track record implementing agile techniques across cultures and environments
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to coach individuals and teams
• Experience managing projects with both waterfall and agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Coordinate execution across multiple teams to maintain a reliable delivery cadence
• Lead Lean-Agile planning and PI Planning preparation and execution across participating teams
• Remove delivery obstacles and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Establish an integrated cadence for planning, synchronization, reviews, demos and retrospectives
• Prioritize program backlog with a focus on value delivery and business outcomes
• Collaborate with technology and business units to align lean practices with maturity
• Mentor teams in Lean principles and agile practices
• Use Azure DevOps, Power BI and Planview to provide real-time program insights
• Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and integration points
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues and drive timely decisions
