Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Driver to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents at our Danville, CA location. You will help residents board and alight, ensure comfort, and uphold vehicle safety on every trip.

The role emphasizes clear communication, calm handling of emergencies, and strict adherence to safety protocols while maintaining logs and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; age 21+
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• CPR certification (as required)
• Strong communication and time‑management skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving
