Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents, assist them in and out of vehicles, and ensure comfort and safety on every trip.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and complete driving logs. A HS diploma, valid license, CPR as required, and calmness in emergencies are essential. This role offers benefits and growth opportunities within our caring community.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and age 21+.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification as required.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies and operate wheelchair lift.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
