Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Driver to provide safe, compassionate transportation for seniors to appointments and outings. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles and ensure secure mobility devices, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and comfort.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification as required, and excellent communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; age 21+.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
