Job summary

Precision Door Service (PDS) is seeking a Learning & Development Field Trainer in Sacramento to onboard and train field teams, reduce ramp time, and raise productivity while delivering a world-class experience.

You will build and execute training programs for technicians, installers and salespeople, collaborating with operations, HR and senior leaders. Deliver diverse modalities and monitor progress with clear metrics to maximize impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development and/or Training within a field service or skilled trades industry.
• Proven success designing and implementing training programs that improved performance or reduced time to competency.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methods.
• Comfort with training technology (LMS platforms, video tools, mobile learning apps).
• Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable program improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support development of training strategy and execution to ensure an impactful delivery in field.
• Deliver a full-scale training program for field technicians, installers and salespeople.
• Partner with operations leadership, HR, field trainers and other counterparts to adopt best practices and tailor programs to our workforce.
• Execute engaging trainings and content including manuals, e-learning, hands-on workshops, videos, and assessments.
• Recommends and implements appropriate learning delivery modalities to facilitate and measure these approaches.
• Facilitates instructor-led trainings and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Coordinate the new employee experience by executing a consistent onboarding experience in each location.
• Manage and track training progress and metrics such as effectiveness, technician readiness, and productivity outcomes.
• Continuously refine programs based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.
