L’Anse Creuse Public Schools seeks a part-time SACC assistant to support after-school programming. The role focuses on engaging children, assisting with homework, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Candidates should be 18+, able to pass background checks and fingerprints, and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Key hours include Tue/Thu afternoons with potential additional site duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and professional work ethics.
• Background check and DHS clearance with fingerprinting before start date.
• Willing to be CPR/First Aid certified.

Responsabilités

• Interact with children individually and in groups to meet special needs.
• Involve children in planning activities and decision-making for group activities.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining a clean, safe, inviting environment.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining good communication with parents.
• Protect the privacy of enrolled families by observing confidentiality.
• Maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all children using positive guidance.
• Attend monthly meetings and training workshops.
• Help children with homework.
• Perform other duties as designed by site director & program director.

October 15 – December 18 Tuesday and Thursday, 3:45PM – 6 PM

Beginning January 4th: Monday and Thursday 3:45 PM – 6 PM and Wednesday 2:45 PM – 6 PM

***May be utilized at other sites***

*SACC employees may bring their school-aged children that attend LCPS to SACC, without charge for tuition, during their working hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 3. To assist in preparing and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment.


• 4. To assist in establishing and maintaining good communication with parents.


• 5. To protect the privacy of the families enrolled by observing the rules of confidentiality.


• 6. To maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all children by using positive and consistent guidance techniques.


• 7. To attend monthly meetings and training workshops.


• 8. To help children with their homework.


• 9. To perform other duties as designed by site director & program director.
