Job summary

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a part-time SACC aide to support after-school activities. You will interact with students, help with homework, and assist in creating a safe, engaging environment after school hours at LCPS sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities with students, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating with parents; background checks and fingerprinting are required; CPR/First Aid certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and professional work ethics.
• Completion of background check and Department of Human Service clearance as well as fingerprinting required before start date.
• Willing to be CPR/First Aide certified.

Responsibilities

• To interact with the children individually and in groups so that special needs are met.
• To involve the children in planning activities and in decision-making for both small and large group activities.
• To assist in preparing and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
• To assist in establishing and maintaining good communication with parents.
• To protect the privacy of the families enrolled by observing the rules of confidentiality.
• To maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all children by using positive and consistent guidance techniques.
• To attend monthly meetings and training workshops.
• To help children with their homework.
• To perform other duties as designed by site director & program director.

October 15 - December 18 Tuesday and Thursday, 3:45PM - 6 PM

Beginning January 4th: Monday and Thursday 3:45 PM - 6 PM and Wednesday 2:45 PM - 6 PM

*SACC employees may bring their school-aged children that attend LCPS to SACC, without charge for tuition, during their working hours.
