Job summary

Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D, seeks a Revenue Accountant Manager to own key revenue and order-to-cash processes in a high-growth SaaS environment. This hands-on role emphasizes ASC 606, contract modifications, and AI-driven business models.

You will be a core contributor to the revenue close, collaborating with finance and product teams while maintaining end-to-end ownership of your areas in a fast-paced setting. Hybrid work from SF HQ is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years revenue accounting in SaaS with ASC 606
• End-to-end ownership of allowance for credit losses or similar reserve process
• High-growth SaaS experience including subscription and professional services revenue
• SOX/compliance experience; IPO readiness a plus
• Strong cross-functional communication and initiative

Responsibilities

• Own the deferred revenue process end to end including schedules and reconciliations
• Own the allowance for credit losses methodology and audit deliverables
• Perform ASC 606 contract modification analyses and memos
• Lead AI/usage-based product revenue initiatives and tracking
• Own professional services revenue end to end and optimize PS revenue processes
• Prepare quarterly close materials and present results
• Manage revenue flux analyses and assist monthly/quarterly close
• Lead audit-related deliverables and drive issue resolution
• Collaborate on new product/pricing launches and entity expansion
