Remote Revenue Accountant for AI SaaS

Job summary

Runway is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our finance team and own end-to-end revenue processes for a fast-growing AI-focused company. You will manage journal entries, AR reconciliations, and the full Order-to-Cash cycle while ensuring ASC 606 compliance and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with Sales, Post-Sales, FP&A and Legal to resolve revenue questions and support external audits. This role offers remote work across the United States and opportunities to optimize billing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
• 3+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience with ASC 606 in a SaaS/tech environment.
• Big 4 or public accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM systems; advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit coordination.
• Detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and looks to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue close by preparing journal entries, AR and deferred revenue reconciliations, AR aging, and flux analyses.
• Own full-cycle Order-to-Cash: invoicing, cash application, aging, collections; resolve overdue accounts and disputes.
• Identify and lead revenue workflow improvements using AI to modernize accounting.
• Build revenue recognition workbooks for new products and pricing models.
• Partner with Sales, Post-Sales, FP&A and Legal to resolve revenue/billing questions and validate orders.
• Implement controls over revenue process and assist external audits.
