Job summary

LeadSimple, based in Kentucky, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant, Finance Operations to own the monthly close and maintain accurate financial records. You will manage detailed tasks, resolve discrepancies, and provide leadership with a reliable monthly view of the business.

You will also support revenue operations tasks, ensuring billing accuracy, coordinating collections, and preparing commission accruals across systems.

Qualifications

• Own the monthly close process end-to-end with a clear calendar and ownership for each step.
• Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly close from start to finish with a defined checklist and timelines.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; maintain schedules for revenue and balance sheet accounts.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts; investigate discrepancies and resolve items.
• Coordinate AP/AR, payroll inputs, and expense records to ensure complete and correctly categorized books.
• Prepare monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting with clear notes on material changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside accounting support to close on time.
