Aloha Air Cargo is seeking a Manager of Training in Anchorage to lead and deliver employee training in line with company policies. You will design, schedule and mentor training across stations, ensuring safety and service standards, and producing instructional materials for effective learning.

The role requires aviation background, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and pass required background checks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of aviation experience preferred.
  • Previous training experience preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a ten year security background check for airport badging.
  • Must be able to routinely lift 70 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Maintain Ryan Air customer service and cargo service standards.
  • Ensure proper processes are used to accept, store and handle mail and freight.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of aircraft and proper staging of cargo.
  • Input mail and freight data into TakeFlite and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and schedule sessions.
  • Conduct trainings, workshops, and individual sessions; prepare educational materials.

Job description

The Manager of Training will ensure that employees are trained in accordance with the policy and procedures of the Company.

Responsible for training required Station and support personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsible for maintaining Ryan Air customer service and cargo service standards.

Ensures that the proper processes are utilized to accept, store and handle mail and freight.

Ensures that the proper processes are utilized to stage, load and unload aircraft.

Ensures that all mail and freight received is accurately processed, including input into TakeFlite.

Liaise with management to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.

Conduct training sessions, workshops, individual training sessions, etc.

Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos, etc.

Support and mentor new employees.

Conduct training evaluations to identify areas of improvement.

Provides coverage at Ryan Air Stations when needed.

Notifies the Director of Stations of any operational discrepancies or needs.

Collaborate with the Director of Safety to implement training based on safety reporting.

Report post-travel trends and feedback to Safety and Stations as part of a continuous improvement process.

Assist stations with compliance to state and federal requirements.

Travel to Ryan Air stations and other locations as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Able to lead, train and communicate with employees in a safe and positive manner.

Ability to understand effective teaching methodologies and tools.

Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Ability to take directions and be flexible.

Experienced in operating ground service equipment.

Knowledge of Microsoft products including PowerPoint for the purpose of producing training materials and presentations.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, using independent judgment and decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
