Job summary

GiveDirectly is seeking a U.S. Programs Manager to oversee end-to-end operations for Rx Kids, coordinating with partners and field teams across states.

The role emphasizes independence, rapid onboarding, and a strong focus on operational excellence within a remote, mission-driven environment. You will manage budgets, vendor relations, and customer service strategies while driving program delivery, evaluation, and knowledge management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a role focused on project management and problem solving, with familiarity in maternal/child health, cash, or related domain a plus.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations while contributing to longer-term objectives and system improvements.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and build robust, efficient systems.
• Analytical problem solving with an iterative mindset, strong prioritization framework, and ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Strong critical thinking and judgment; quickly synthesize information and make sound decisions with incomplete data.
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate findings into clear outputs.
• Strong communications skills across speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational instincts; proactive in surfacing risks and maintaining systems.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and work independently with proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Play a core operations role, leading end-to-end project management and defining design trade-offs.
• Oversee verification processes to fulfill SLAs and define operational efficiency metrics.
• Elevate safeguarding cases and monitor fraud with internal teams.
• Define and oversee customer service strategy and platform to ensure positive recipient experience.
• Monitor KPIs and support program associates in managing Customer Service.
• Lead data analyses to support program delivery and stakeholder communications.
• Draft records of recipient notifications and program communications.
• Maintain workflows and records within back-end platforms.
