We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place. [1]

THE TEAM

You’ll be part of the Kitchen team, working closely with fellow culinary associates to deliver quality food and service. Reporting to the Sous Chef, you’ll help maintain an organized, clean and efficient kitchen while supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

YOUR ROLE

As Cook I, you’ll plan, prepare, set up and produce hot food across designated food and beverage outlets. From sauté, grill and sauces to entrées, vegetables, potatoes, stocks and other hot menu items, you’ll follow recipes, yield guides, plating specifications and department standards while maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and safe working practices.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Prepare and produce sauté, grill and sauce menu items for designated food and beverage outlets, following recipes, yield guides and department standards.
  • Set up and maintain your workstation with the required mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies, keeping the area clean and organized throughout your shift.
  • Select, clean and prepare meat, seafood and vegetables while maintaining required food handling, storage, sanitation and health standards.
  • Monitor production needs and communicate shortages, required supplies and assistance needs to the Kitchen Supervisor to support smooth guest service.
  • Minimize waste and maintain appropriate controls to support forecasted food costs.
  • Complete opening and closing responsibilities, including proper rotation, wrapping, labeling, dating and storage of food, cleaning work areas and equipment, and restocking depleted items.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
  • You bring strong line-cook experience gained in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant environment.
  • You work with attention to detail, speed and accuracy and can prioritize and organize effectively in a busy kitchen.
  • You can remain calm under pressure, follow recipes and production schedules, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • You understand how to safely operate, clean and maintain the equipment and tools required for the role.
  • You work collaboratively as part of a team and bring a friendly, helpful and courteous approach when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • You can speak, read and write English; additional language fluency and culinary certification are preferred.
OUR BENEFITS
  • As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard - and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them - and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
