OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE

We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact.

As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

The Culinary team is at the heart of delivering Rosewood Residences' exceptional dining experiences, combining creativity, precision, and passion to create memorable moments for every resident. Working within a refined residential culinary environment, the team is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and personalized service. The Culinary Steward is a vital member of the kitchen team, ensuring that the culinary operation runs smoothly by maintaining an impeccably clean, organized, and fully equipped environment - and by providing foundational support to the culinary team whenever needed.

YOUR ROLE

At Rosewood Residences Lido Key, we are committed to delivering exceptional, personalized service in a luxury coastal setting. As Culinary Steward, your role is essential to every service that leaves this kitchen. You are the foundation upon which the culinary team performs, ensuring that every surface is sanitized, every piece of equipment is clean and ready, and every colleague has what they need to execute at the Rosewood standard. You will also contribute to basic preparation and stocking tasks, becoming an integrated and trusted member of the team.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen areas including workstations, equipment, cooking surfaces, floors, and storage spaces.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean, sanitize, and organize all cookware, smallwares, china, glassware, and utensils in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Support culinary team members with basic mise en place tasks including washing, peeling, and portioning ingredients as directed.
  • Assist with stocking and organizing walk-in refrigerators, dry storage, and kitchen supply areas to ensure team members have what they need throughout service.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored according to Rosewood standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation supply levels, reporting shortages proactively to the Culinary Head Chef or Culinary Sous Chef.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards and procedures at all times.
  • Assist with the proper disposal of kitchen waste, recycling, and grease management in accordance with property and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support receiving and storage of food and supply deliveries, assisting with stock rotation and organization.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of special dining experiences, resident events, and private dining as required.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture by supporting teammates and responding to operational needs with urgency and care.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is a dependable, hardworking individual who takes genuine pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment and who understands that great culinary experiences begin long before a plate reaches a resident. No prior hospitality experience is required - only a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the team. Rosewood invests in the development of every team member, and this role offers a meaningful pathway into the culinary profession.

  • No prior culinary or hospitality experience required; a strong work ethic and positive team attitude are essential.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding, dishwashing, or facilities cleaning role is a plus.
  • Food Handler certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and kitchen sanitation practices preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced, warm kitchen environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in the quality and thoroughness of their work.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and communicate clearly with kitchen team members.

  • Guest Centricity
  • Integrity
