Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group seeks an IRD Coordinator to join the Food & Beverage/Room Service team in Dallas. You will take Room Service orders by phone, describe menu offerings, and ensure accurate processing of checks and payments while supporting daily paperwork and pool activity monitoring.

You will collaborate with Room Service Captains and Servers, maintain a neat desk, and uphold service standards while delivering a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cash-handling and customer-service experience.
• Basic accounting skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Experience with POS and computer systems; 10-key equipment; multi-line phones.
• Knowledge of Micros and proficiency in Excel is helpful.
• Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take Room Service calls and guest orders by phone and relay to Room Service Captain.
• Process guest checks from Food & Beverage outlets and handle payments.
• Daily paperwork and banking with accuracy and minimal discrepancies.
• Balance assigned bank and coordinate shift responsibilities with Captains/Servers.
• Monitor pool activity and ensure smooth Room Service operations.

THE TEAM

As IRD Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Food & Beverage division within Room Service, reporting to the F&B Manager. You’ll work closely with Room Service Captains and Servers to coordinate guest orders and shift responsibilities while supporting smooth Room Service operations.

YOUR ROLE

You’ll play an important role in the guest experience, taking Room Service orders by phone and communicating them through the appropriate channels. You’ll also process guest checks from Food & Beverage outlets, handle payment transactions and daily paperwork accurately, and monitor pool activity.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Answer Room Service calls, take guest orders according to established standards and communicate orders to the Room Service Captain.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the menus so you can confidently describe available offerings to guests.
• Accurately process checks from Food & Beverage outlets and handle credit cards, personal checks, cash and other accepted payment methods.
• Process void and complimentary checks correctly.
• Balance your daily paperwork and maintain your assigned bank with minimal discrepancies.
• Coordinate shift responsibilities with Captains and Servers and monitor pool activity.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• You bring cash-handling and customer-service experience.
• You have basic accounting skills and can accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• You can work with POS and computer systems, 10-key equipment and multi-line telephone systems; knowledge of Micros and proficiency in Excel are helpful.
• You communicate effectively with guests and colleagues and can read, write and speak English; fluency in additional languages is preferred.
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You bring strong attention to detail, organization and sound judgment, and can remain calm, work collaboratively and protect confidential guest and hotel information.
