Job summary

Genentech, a member of the Roche group, is seeking a Senior Data Innovation Specialist in the Real-World & Clinical Data Strategy team to drive agentic AI, semantic integration, and knowledge graphs across clinical, real‑world, and operational data. You will design AI-enabled tools and automated workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale innovative data solutions with scientific rigor.

You will lead exploratory projects, mentor peers, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data science or healthcare innovation, with a track record of AI-driven pilots or products.
Familiar with agile, product-thinking, and innovation frameworks such as Lean Startup or Design Thinking.

Responsibilities

Identify, prototype, and scale novel data methods and technologies across product development.
Design, build, and evaluate agentic workflows enabling models to use tools and data.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product teams, and external partners to validate solutions and assess feasibility.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (HIPAA and GDPR).
