Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Rust Software Developer to guide the next generation of mission‑critical embedded systems. You will drive adoption of Rust across embedded development, convert legacy CC++ code, and provide architecture guidance for memory‑safe Rust usage in RTOS environments (VxWorks, Linux, Integrity).

The role requires a degree in CS/Engineering and a Secret Security Clearance, with pay range of $70–$75/hr and onsite work in Camden, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience converting CC++ code to Rust.
• Experience developing Rust software for embedded systems.
• Object‑oriented design and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo.
• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real‑time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide adoption of Rust throughout embedded development.
• Lead the deployment of Rust and related techniques across multiple product lines.
• Apply CS/engineering analysis to software for target hardware.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define interfaces between hardware and software.
• Support all phases of the SDLC including requirements, design, and testing.
• Investigate root causes and implement solutions, solo or with a team.
• Create software test plans and documentation; use modeling tools for evaluation.
