Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions in Camden, NJ is seeking a Senior Rust Software Developer. The role focuses on embedded software development in Rust for production systems, with a requirement for US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.

You will lead Rust adoption across multiple product lines, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and contribute across the full SDLC. Qualifications include 3+ years of Rust experience, C/C++ expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field; 6+ years of experience (4+ with graduate degree; 10+ years in lieu of degree)
• 3+ years of Rust development for production systems
• Experience with C/C++ development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering team in embedded software development with Rust
• Lead adoption and deployment of Rust across multiple product lines
• Apply CS/engineering/mathematical analysis to software for target hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design hardware-software interfaces
• Support all phases of SDLC including requirements, design, integration, and testing
• Investigate root causes and implement solutions independently or in multi-disciplinary teams
• Develop software test plans and procedures and related documentation
• Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data and prototype
• Participate in peer reviews and repair defects
• Utilize Rust, C/C++, and Python in development
