Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Rust Software Developer to join an onsite, 6-12 month contract in Herndon, VA. The role centers on Rust for embedded systems, guiding the adoption and migrating legacy code to Rust, while providing architectural guidance for memory-safe usage.

You will participate in a Scrum team across the full SDLC, develop drivers and test plans, and document results to support mission-critical systems. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing Rust software for production systems.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Experience with C/C++ development and object-oriented design.

Responsibilities

• Guide adoption of Rust throughout embedded development and migrate legacy software to Rust.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize tasks across the SDLC.
• Be a key Scrum team member setting direction for product and infrastructure development.
• Develop software and test plans, and document relevant technical details.
