Job summary

Moree Public School in Northwest Rural NSW is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our counselling service. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments for students, collaborating with teachers and families to support learning and mental health.

The role offers supervision with the Senior Psychologist Education, opportunities across primary and high school ages, and a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment within NSW public schools.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (general or provisional).
• Ability to provide counselling and psychological assessments to students.
• Willingness to travel between work sites and work across multiple school communities.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Engages with the Professional Practice Framework for NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborates with principal, staff and external services to improve wellbeing outcomes.
• Contributes to social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments, reports results.
• Works with families, carers and agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Responds to incidents and refers to other services as needed.
• Supports continuing professional development and supervision.
