Job summary

The NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Psychologist for Coonabarabran High School. You will provide counselling, psychological assessments, and support for students to improve learning and wellbeing across primary and high school levels.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, engage with families and external agencies, and contribute to professional supervision and ongoing professional development. NSW Dept of Education supports diverse staff and remote incentives.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (general or provisional).
• Current Working with Children Check clearance (NSW).
• Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Collaborates with principal, staff, families and external agencies to support learning and wellbeing.
• Develops school-based supports for students with complex needs.
• Participates in supervision and a multidisciplinary school counselling team.
