Narrabri High School, operating under the NSW Department of Education, seeks a School Psychologist to provide counselling and psychological assessment across primary and high school students, enhancing learning and wellbeing outcomes.

The role offers supervision within a multidisciplinary team, opportunities to work across lifespan, and to support families in understanding and managing student mental health needs in a supportive public school environment.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of the Department Aboriginal Education Policy
• General or Provisional Psychology Registration
• Valid WWCC (NSW)
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Responsabilidades

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Performs cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Collaborates with principals, staff and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Contributes to social, emotional and academic development of students.
• Works with families and carers to develop school-based support plans.
• Responds to incidents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Engages with school communities to deliver services within the NSW School Counselling Service framework.
• Supports ongoing professional development and supervision within the department
