Job summary

RH (Restoration Hardware) is seeking a Director of Merchandising to lead the Rugs department and develop a compelling assortment that advances strategic, financial and brand objectives. This leader will shape product strategy, drive performance and ensure an outstanding customer experience across channels.

You will set the vision, lead a cross-functional team, translate consumer insights into assortment strategy, and partner with planning and vendors to optimize sales and margin.

Qualifications

• 9+ years experience leading merchandising team.
• Highly attuned to merchandising trends in the marketplace.
• Understand nuances in consumer behavior and competitive pressures.
• Track record of engaging and inspiring a wide variety of partners, stakeholders, and team members.
• Strong innovation, communication and collaboration skills to present merchandising direction in a compelling manner.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• Present product assortment category to Senior Leadership.
• Drive calendar to meet critical dates and hold team accountable.
• Lead weekly and monthly financial review meetings, identifying corrective action necessary to maximize sales and margin.
• Lead the financial forecast of the business, partnering with Planning Leaders.
• Initiate product development to capitalize on trends and consumer opportunities.
• Drive product and pricing execution and timely receipts with vendors.
