Job summary

Loloi Rugs is seeking a Director of Site Merchandising & Operations to lead the digital storefront strategy for Joon Loloi and Loloi Rugs. This role owns onsite search, product discovery, and content staging, collaborating across merchandising, marketing, UX, and engineering.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational precision, directing launches, QA, data accuracy, and performance improvements across platforms and campaigns.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in eCommerce site merchandising, web production, or digital commerce operations.
• Proven people management experience with prior team leadership.
• Hands-on platform ownership: Algolia, Contentful, Bazaarvoice, and a PIM system.
• Experience with commerce platforms: UltraCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar.
• Deep fluency in eCommerce analytics, SEO signals, and feed health.
• A/B testing experience and ability to apply results to merchandising.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, CS, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and execution of product navigation, onsite search, filtering, and product ranking to drive storytelling and conversions.
• Build and manage seasonal site merchandising plans using analytics and benchmarking.
• Optimize sort order, search results, PDP/PLP layouts, and landing pages to maximize CRO.
• Drive Search revenue growth through Algolia configuration and query tuning.
• Manage production schedule for new product launches, events, and campaigns.
• Oversee storefront QA and data/assets accuracy in staging and production.
• Lead data transposition from PIM to commerce, search, and CMS platforms.
• Deliver content staging per design handoffs with asset naming and QC.
• Respond to product setup issues and drive root-cause improvements.
• Partner with engineering to address platform bugs and gaps.
• Lead cross-functional alignment and reporting.
