Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is a high-performance embedded solutions company located in Verona, WI. We seek a senior embedded hardware engineer to drive rugged board-level design through production transfer, working with electrical, mechanical, software, and QA teams.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware design, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a record of effective cross-functional collaboration. Onsite work at our Verona facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5+) years of related engineering experience.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Experience solving complex problems and making informed technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware design, debugging, and electronic system testing.
• Participate in product development, integration, debug, and customer support.
• Create and review product technical documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify best-fit solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Provide guidance in design verification, qualification, and production test plans.
• Debug hardware problems down to the component level.
• Manage customer and internal requirements throughout the design process.
• Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure timely design checks.
