Job summary

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a motivated engineer to join rugged, high-performance embedded computing teams. You will contribute to board-level design from concept through production, interfacing with electrical, mechanical, software, and test groups to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role demands hands-on hardware design, debugging, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration, with onsite work in Verona, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience. Senior level placement possible based on qualifications.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience solving complex problems and making informed technical decisions.
• Experience reviewing others’ work and providing constructive feedback.
• Ability to present technical data to facilitate quick decisions.
• Track record of guiding PCB layout engineers.
• Ability to work onsite at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product development, integration, debug, product testing, and customer support.
• Perform digital circuit design, through component selection, simulation, and schematic entry.
• Create and review product technical documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify best-fit solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Provide guidance in design verification, qualification, and production test plans.
• Debug hardware problems down to the component level.
• Manage customer and internal requirements throughout the design process.
• Work with project managers and leads to ensure timely design checks.
