Job summary

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and verify rugged single board computers and systems, focusing on mechanical design, 3D modeling, drawings, and electromechanical integration. You will collaborate with PCB design, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams to create robust, manufacturable solutions using Creo for 3D models and detailed drawings.

This onsite role at our Verona, WI facility requires seven-plus years of experience, strong GD&T

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of seven (7+) years of related engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in solid modeling and mechanical drawing creation (Creo preferred)
• Working knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering work to ensure X-ES products meet specifications
• Support development of new products through analysis-driven decisions
• Communicate design status and document engineering decisions clearly
• Create and review complex 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using Creo
• Review PCB layouts for mechanical fit and integration
• Evaluate FEA results (modal, shock, vibration, fatigue) and provide design guidance
• Analyze test data, identify root causes, and propose improvements
• Document analyses and recommendations and communicate findings to teams
• Mentor less experienced engineers and review work for quality
