BOAB Ventures is seeking an Electronic Packaging Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical work for rugged avionics assemblies. You will design, analyze, document, fabricate, assemble, and qualify components from concept through integration and test.

The role focuses on packaging electronics for harsh environments and requires the ability to coordinate with designers, thermal and structural analysts, and program managers.

Formación

• Experience designing mechanical enclosures and assemblies for avionics or rugged electronics.
• Ability to translate high level requirements into detailed mechanical layouts.
• Capable of supporting thermal, structural, and mechanical analyses and trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Create complex mechanical designs and layouts from high level requirements.
• Package circuit cards, connectors, and cables for rugged environments.
• Develop and validate mechanical, electro-mechanical, and opto-mechanical designs.
• Support thermal, fluid, structural, and power analyses and propose solutions.
• Assist prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of designs.
• Design additively manufactured parts, machined parts, weldments, sheet metal parts, and cable assemblies.
• Develop design control documentation.
• Collaborate with outside vendors and cross-functional teams to source parts and develop solutions.
