Job summary

Hillside seeks a Manager of Special Services to lead the Raise the Age (RTA) Program and the Special Services Team. The role develops de-escalation and intervention plans, monitors search protocols per OCFS, and serves as the OCFS liaison during inspections.

Supervises staff including Crisis Prevention Specialist and ensures regulatory compliance. The position covers leadership duties, staff coaching, and coordination with school and partner services, with on-site responsibilities and emergency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other Human Services discipline required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential care, juvenile justice, human services or related setting.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the RTA Program and ensure OCFS compliance.
• Maintain documentation on residents' engagement in treatment and programming.
• Supervise the Special Services Team and ensure safety of youth, families, staff.
• Ensure staff are trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques.
• Develop and maintain proactive safety and regulatory compliant practices.
• Oversee physical plant and safe, therapeutic environment.
• Lead safety and perimeter monitoring and on-site programming supervision.
