Job summary

Helmerich and Payne is hiring an RSMS Technician in Tulsa, OK. The role handles incoming trouble calls from rigs, remote monitoring, and troubleshooting while coordinating with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.

The position requires on-site work in the Tulsa office during day hitch rotations, with a 14/14 rotating shift for 24/7 coverage. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical/electronics background, experience in rig systems, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of electrical, electronic, instrumentation, prints, schematics, and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remotely diagnose problems with rig control system components, including PLCs, VFDs, control networks and HMI computers.
• Provide troubleshooting support to field maintenance personnel based on logical troubleshooting methods.
• Coordinate maintenance, operations, engineering and vendors to expedite high priority repairs.
• Retrieve and analyze historical data from rig dataloggers for troubleshooting and performance improvements.
• Prepare PowerPoint and multimedia presentations to promote organizational learning across the fleet.
• Act as primary liaison between field personnel and engineering for technical inquiries.
• Prepare daily reports to communicate rig fleet status.
• Document rig issues with journal entries and call reports.
