Job summary

You will liaise with field personnel, engineering, and maintenance to resolve issues quickly and promote reliability. Responsibilities include diagnosing control-system problems, preparing reports, and coordinating with IT and vendors to ensure diagnostic equipment is operational.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical/electronics troubleshooting experience requested.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; ability to produce reports.

Responsibilities

• Remotely diagnose problems with rig control system components (PLC, VFD, networks, HMI).
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering and vendors to repair high-priority issues.
• Prepare and present daily reports; document rig issues and actions taken.
• Monitor drilling operations and relay alarms to maintenance and operations for action.
