Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Duties as assigned.

Eligible candidates hold a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER, ACLS is preferred, and minimal physical demands apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER personnel.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
