Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

Requirements include graduating from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS is required in the Emergency Room, with ACLS preferred. Physical demands include lifting and movement as described.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for Emergency Room staff.
• ACLS preferred for enhanced practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
