Job summary

Advocate Health's Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Services team in a full-time, night-shift role. The incumbent will provide respiratory therapies, initiate and manage ventilation, and ensure patient safety following NBRC guidelines and state licensing requirements.

The position requires NBRC RRT, NC licensure, BLS, with PALS/NRP and ACLS within 90 days. 36 hours per week with a pay range of $30.70–$46.05 hourly.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC and licensed to practice as an RCP in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS and NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork through effective communication.
• Provides respiratory therapies according to age-appropriate standards and policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support per age-specific care.
• Reports routine clinical procedures to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care and maintains competency for point-of-care testing.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety and appropriateness of care.
• Maintains professional/technical knowledge and pursues quality improvement to enhance service.
• Delivers age-appropriate patient care per Age-Specific Care Guidelines.
